Quatr Nas
FROM MONFORTE D’ALBA, PIEMONTE (NORTH ITALY)
HISTORY
There is a saying in Italy that Barolo is such a fragrant wine, it takes three noses to appreciate it. Quatr Nas means “four noses” in the local dialect, referencing the four grapes present in this blend: nebbiolo, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and pinot nero.
Valentino Migliorini chose these grapes because of his love of the regions most famous for them: the Langhe, Bordeaux, and Burgundy.
