Valentino Brut Elena

FROM MONFORTE D’ALBA, PIEMONTE (NORTH ITALY)

HISTORY

The first sparkling wine in the region.

In the 70’s, the Langhe was a simple farming area that made red wine for local consumption. There was no significant international market, and no desire or ability to invest in the expensive equipment required to produce sparkling wine. In 1978 Rocche dei Manzoni became the first winery to do it. Today, the majority of wineries in the area make a sparkling wine. This validates the vision and commitment to innovative practices, all with a common goal: to produce a final product that uniquely represents the place it comes from.
